Small grants may be available from, or with the help of, your local authority or parish council or from local charitable organisations like The Rotary Foundation. Several of the main supermarkets have local grant giving schemes for community projects such as Tesco Bags of Help https://tescobagsofhelp.org.uk/. Other companies that have proved helpful include Co-op, Greggs, Costa, McDonald’s. Being part of your local volunteer network, for instance through the Council for Voluntary Organisations, can help you keep in touch with new funding opportunities.

Awards for All gives small Lottery grants of between £300 and £10,000 to community projects which, amongst other things, help the local environment. Further information at: www.awardsforall.org.uk

You may find a local business willing to either sponsor you or donate equipment, and look out for organisations offering materials such as free trees from The Woodland Trust at: https://www.woodlandtrust.org.uk/plant-trees/schools-and-communities"
